Research Paper Topics on Immigration Detention Centers

Research Paper Topics on Immigration Detention CentersIt's difficult to find good research paper topics on immigration detention centers. It seems that the best topics on the topic are also the most controversial.Immigration detention centers have long been a topic of discussion and debate in the United States. On one side, there are those who advocate for their continued existence and as such advocate on the 'pro' side of the debate. On the other side, there are those who argue for their closure and/or the repeal of the bill that created them. These opponents are only too aware of the negative impacts that having these prisons can have on the rest of the country. The debate, therefore, is largely on the prison facility's mission, ethics, and necessity. There are also arguments against the way these facilities are managed and run, the procedures for detainees to maintain their civil rights, and what specific harm they are causing to the American people. Of course, these are only some of the most prominent arguments in the debate. There are many more that would be worth investigating further in order to fully grasp the issues at hand.Unfortunately, it seems that arguments on the impact of the prisons on the detainees and on society as a whole take up most of the time in the debate. In reality, however, I've found no solid research that supports the claim that immigration detention centers are a major factor in the problem of crime in the United States.I've also found that any research conducted on the impact of immigration detention centers on crime is incredibly vague and insufficient. Any amount of data we do have, we're forced to make assumptions about how this data is used. Even worse, the data provided by these studies is not presented in a way that makes it easy to understand and analyze. And that, unfortunately, is really all the research can do in terms of addressing the issue at hand.Instead of finding answers to the question 'Do detention centers do vio lence to the community' through research, then, what should we expect to find through research papers on immigration detention centers? Well, I think I would be surprised at the results.First of all, I think it would be very reasonable to expect that if we conduct research on immigration detention centers, that we would not find anything more than what we have already gathered. There are actually too many unanswered questions for anyone to get more than an educated guess on the topic. To make matters worse, the problems of these detention centers would seem to have worsened over the last several years. As for the impact of immigration detention centers on crime, it appears that they are a farce and a problem that has been manufactured. And since most people are completely opposed to the idea of immigration detention facilities, they are likely to be completely against the research papers on the topic.
